Q&A with Alex

Describe style in 5 words
Edgy, bold, themed, unexpected, and cazh.
What is the most challenging about budgeting?
I’m very generous and can be pretty greedy.  I like to spend money on others and when I want something I GOTTA have it.  It’s a challenge and that’s why I love being able to tap into my creative side when it comes to fashion and DIY.
What is your favorite thing you’ve created?
My greeting cards.
What is your current obsession?
Wedge sneaker.  Without a doubt.
What would you buy if money wasn’t an issue?
Way too many clothes, way too many shoes, and way too many craft supplies.
How can you feed that craving with something more reasonable?
I make an effort to make things on my own or reinvent certain pieces of clothing.  DIY DIY DIY.  Almost 2 years ago, I bought myself a $240 Marc Jacobs purse and I swear I will be obsessed with it until I’m 80.  That will hold me over for another couple of years until I splurge again.
What is your message behind Bubbly on a Budget?
I like nice things, I’m not swimming in money (yet), and I like being creative.  That translates to….. champagne wishes, caviar dreams + A 20Something budget = GET CREATIVE! It’s more fun, more exciting, and more rewarding.  If you don’t possess the creative quality, that’s what we’re here for.

Q&A with Kristin

Describe style in 5 words
Jackie O meets Marilyn Monroe (Classic with a spicy edge)
What is the most challenging about budgeting?
Everything about budgeting is challenging.  I think the biggest thing is that you must be conscious of  ALL your bills!
What is your favorite thing you’ve created?
My house.  If I had to pick one thing, I really love the nightstands I made for my bedroom.  They were purchased from IKEA.

What is your current obsession?
Bright colors, menswear inspired flats, and babies
What would you buy if money wasn’t an issue?
Vacations and trips.  I would love to travel more.
How can you feed that craving with something more reasonable?
The way to feed my travel craving is to take small ‘daycations’ until I have saved for a bigger trip.  As we countdown to our honeymoon this fall, we are planning on going whitewater rafting and spending quite a few days on the lake.
What is your message behind Bubbly on a Budget?
The message behind this blog is that you can really live on a budget.  You can get out on the weekends, make dates and keep up with fashion trends.  But, this will require you to get creative with life!
